OUR SCHOOL’S HISTORY

Advance Preschool Inc. was established in 1999 as an Early Childhood learning facility within the Hoffman Estates community. Our philosophy was developed combining a diverse set of principals taken from the Illinois State guidelines for Early Childhood Education, the guiding principles for Early Childhood and a combination of recognized curriculum. Advance has participated in a variety of Quality Early Childhood Programs including Preschool for All and Head Start. Years of research and development, have led us to thoroughly assess each program that is implemented in our facility. Advance has been recognized for quality education by the state of Illinois Exelerate Program, the Village of Hoffman Estates, the Center for Health Services and the Hanover Park Mental Health board to name a few. Chosen as one of the first “Preschool for All” sites, the director has had the opportunity to participate in the process of the formation and signing of the implementation of the program under the former administration. Advance was also chosen to participate in the nationally recognized head start forum in the Washington D.C . Professional participation is integrated into everything we do.

Our staff at Advance Preschool is an exemplary example of a cohesive unit of well-trained educators. Over the years they have developed skills and methodology that can not be matched. As we traditionally have low turn over in our staff population, we are able to work together effectively to assist your child. Although my entire staff is amazing, I must point out a few. My assistant directors Andrea Dayment, Renee Dayment and Annika Maday have helped to develop and grow this program into an outstanding community partner. Each with their unique talents, the center thrives with experienced quality educators. For our infant and toddler programs, Jamie Mejia has used her education to develop a program that supports our youngest students. Advance also offers a Christian curriculum taught by Monae Joyner. Monae’s skills and dedication to religious education set her apart from a traditional teaching approach. Finally, as you enter the facility, you will immediately feel welcome as my office administrators Susan Valenti and Guadalupe Ramirez will guide you efficiently and easily through the paperwork process. If you are in need of assistance to navigate the Action for Children Program, Sue will assist you with any needed documentation. These employees, as well as every other teacher, assistant and support staff, add to the diversity and quality of care provided.

Opened as an independent preschool servicing 7 children in one classroom, we now service approximately 200 students within 11 classrooms. Because of the staff and quality of care we provide we appreciate all of the families who have trusted us through the years and look forward to twenty more years of quality care!!
