Twos

At Advance Preschool Inc., our Twos Program supports children as they move through one of the most dynamic and expressive phases of early childhood. These young learners are eager to assert independence, explore boundaries, and communicate in new ways—all while still needing the warmth, guidance, and consistency of trusted caregivers.

 

Our classrooms are designed to honor both their growing autonomy and their deep need for connection.

With a continued focus on developmentally appropriate learning, our Twos Program helps children build upon their earlier experiences while preparing them for the structure and flow of preschool life. Teachers create engaging, hands-on opportunities that support growth across all key areas: social/emotional development, language acquisition, cognitive exploration, and physical coordination. Whether they’re stringing beads, naming emotions, navigating friendships, or investigating how things work, twos are always learning through movement, repetition, and play.

Classrooms are arranged to promote safe, independent exploration while encouraging group participation and cooperative play. Daily routines are used to introduce early concepts like following directions, transitioning between activities, and using words to express needs. Through gentle guidance and positive reinforcement, children in our Twos Program begin to develop early problem-solving skills, self-help abilities, and a deeper awareness of themselves and others.

As always, family connection remains central to our work. We maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on developmental progress, new milestones, and ways to continue the learning at home. Our goal is to help each child feel safe, supported, and successful, while partnering with families to ensure they feel confident in every stage of their child’s journey.
