Traditional Curriculum

The traditional curriculum at Advance Preschool is designed to provide children with a developmentally appropriate, high-quality, and well-rounded early learning experience that nurtures their natural curiosity and supports every area of growth.

Rooted in the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, our traditional program focuses on the core domains of early childhood education—including language and literacy, math, science, social studies, fine and gross motor skills, and social emotional development.

Children learn through a balanced mix of structured instruction, guided activities, and creative exploration, allowing them to build foundational skills while expressing themselves, collaborating with peers, and developing a lifelong love of learning.

Classrooms are designed to be safe, inclusive, and engaging, with individualized attention given to each child’s progress and needs. We use thoughtful assessments to guide instruction and ensure every child is supported at their own pace.

Above all, our traditional curriculum is rooted in the belief that children learn best when they feel seen, valued, and inspired. By blending academic structure with hands-on, joyful learning, we help children gain the confidence, independence, and resilience they need to thrive—in Kindergarten and beyond.

Christian Curriculum

At Advance Preschool, our Christian curriculum offers families a faith-based educational option that nurtures not only a child’s academic growth, but also their spiritual and moral development.

Rooted in Christian values such as kindness, compassion, honesty, and service, this program weaves Biblical principles into everyday learning in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way.

Children explore traditional academic subjects—like language, math, science, and creative arts—while also participating in prayer, Bible stories, songs, and age-appropriate lessons about God’s love and how to live with integrity and respect.

The Christian curriculum promotes social emotional development by helping children understand empathy, forgiveness, and cooperation through a faith-centered lens.

With a strong emphasis on both individual growth and community responsibility, our Christian classrooms provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to ask questions, express themselves, and deepen their understanding of the world and their place in it.

Families who choose this pathway appreciate the opportunity to align their child’s early education with their spiritual values, knowing they’re supported by educators who are committed to cultivating both the heart and the mind.
